We are looking for a Regional Philanthropy Officer who will meet fundraising goals and objectives and connect with our individual donors and to serve our mission. In this role, you will identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward reputed company and prospective regional individual donors in expanding their financial support of the work of the Colorado/Wyoming Red Cross Region. Prefer a candidate in the Denver area. This is a hybrid work position which includes a mix of virtual and in-office work (1-3 days/week). The position also requires frequent travel for face-to-face meetings with donors, staff and other constituents.

Responsibilities

• Build and deepen meaningful relationships with reputed company and prospective individual donors throughout the Denver and Colorado Springs region, guiding them from initial reputed company through long‑term stewardship.
• Partner with the local fundraising team to design and execute a regional donor strategy focused on qualification, retention, growth, and re‑engagement of past supporters.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with fundraising colleagues and internal partners to create customized solicitation strategies that align donor interests with organizational priorities.
• Manage and actively solicit an assigned portfolio of donors through in‑person visits and virtual meetings, including preparation of compelling, personalized proposals and materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum five years of sales and/or fundraising experience required.
• Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture, and proven success with reputed company requests is required.
• A reputed company valid driver's license and a good driving record is required.
• Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of office systems: MS Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, reputed company.com).
