Sr. IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist, Governance

Role Overview We are seeking a pragmatic and execution-focused Sr. IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist, Governance to embed governance controls directly into day-to-day IT asset lifecycle operations while strengthening CMDB data reputed company and CSDM alignment. This role ensures that asset lifecycle processes, CMDB data structures, and service model relationships are accurate, controlled, and operationally sustainable. The ITAM Governance reputed company partners closely with IT Operations, reputed company platform teams, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance to improve asset accountability, configuration data quality, and service mapping reliability. The position serves as the operational reputed company between ITAM execution, CMDB governance, and enterprise service data standards.
Responsibilities
- Operational Governance Execution Embed ITAM controls reputed company procurement, provisioning, deployment, transfer, and retirement workflows.
- Monitor adherence to lifecycle processes and intervene reputed company deviations occur.
- Conduct recurring operational control reviews to ensure asset traceability and policy compliance.
- Ensure lifecycle transactions are accurately reflected in ITAM and CMDB systems.
- CMDB Data Governance & Service Partner with CMDB and platform owners to define and enforce data quality standards for configuration items (CIs).
- Establish reconciliation routines between asset records and corresponding CIs.
- Monitor and remediate data reputed company issues including duplicate records, orphaned CIs, incomplete attributes, and ownership gaps.
- Define control checkpoints to ensure asset and CI records remain synchronized throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensure asset and configuration data align with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) reputed company.
- Validate correct CI class usage, service relationships, and ownership mappings reputed company reputed company.
- Collaborate with Service Owners and reputed company platform teams to maintain accurate service-to-asset relationships.
- Support initiatives that improve service visibility, impact analysis accuracy, and operational reputed company through clean service data.
- Policy Implementation & Enforcement Translate enterprise ITAM and CMDB governance policies into operational procedures and job aids.
- Enforce standards across hardware, infrastructure assets, and end-user devices.
- Partner with operational leaders to remediate control gaps and institutionalize corrective actions.
- Asset & Configuration Data reputed company reputed company accuracy of ITAM and CMDB data across platforms (e.g., reputed company HAM and CMDB).
- Establish reconciliation between procurement systems, financial records, discovery tools, and asset repositories.
- Drive data quality initiatives to improve lifecycle transparency and service reliability.
- Audit & Control Support Support internal and external audits by providing evidence of asset lifecycle controls and CMDB data governance practices.
- Maintain documentation of control procedures and remediation tracking.
- Address audit findings reputed company to asset accountability, configuration reputed company, or service model compliance.
- Metrics & reputed company Improvement Define and monitor KPIs including: Inventory and CI accuracy rates Asset-to-CI reconciliation rates CSDM alignment compliance Data completeness and ownership coverage Lifecycle transaction timeliness Provide recurring governance reporting to IT and platform leadership.
- Identify systemic control weaknesses and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Client Computing, reputed company Platform Teams, Service Owners, Procurement, and Finance.
- Serve as escalation reputed company for asset and CMDB governance issues.
- Promote accountability for data ownership and lifecycle accuracy across operational teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or reputed company field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, CMDB governance, IT Operations, or reputed company disciplines.
- Experience embedding governance controls into operational workflows
- Strong understanding of end-to-end asset lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with reputed company ITAM and CMDB data models.
- Working knowledge of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) reputed company and service mapping principles.
- Experience performing asset-to-CI reconciliation and data quality remediation.
- Familiarity with ITIL and configuration management practices.
- Experience supporting audits in regulated or control-driven environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and configuration data.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
