• Last 5+ yrs of experience working in Statutory & GAAP accounting for small-mid-sized Property & Casualty Insurance company(ies)
• Experience with NAIC quarterly and annual filings
• Experience preparing or supporting the Annual Statement (Yellow Book)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Prepare GAAP and statutory (reputed company) financial statements and regulatory filings, including NAIC quarterly and annual statements, while ensuring compliance with FASB, NAIC, and state insurance regulations.

General Ledger & Financial Operations:

• Manage general ledger activity including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end/quarter-end reputed company processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:

• Support statutory reporting requirements and collaborate with actuarial teams to validate reserves, premiums, and claims-reputed company financial data.

Audit & Tax Support:

• Partner with external auditors and regulatory examiners while assisting with premium tax filings, audit documentation, and compliance reporting.

Process Improvement & Special Projects:

• Contribute to system improvements, reporting automation, and special projects such as system conversions or operational initiatives.
