This position will work as the primary planner and manager for NC's Byrne State Crisis reputed company Program's (SCIP) federal grant funding and assist with other GCC funding sources as assigned. GCC receives federal formula funds each year to subaward for SCIP programs throughout the State. SCIP funds support subawards for the implementation of state crisis reputed company court proceedings and reputed company programs or initiatives, including but not limited to-(i) mental health courts; (ii) drug courts; (iii) veterans courts; and (iv) extreme risk protection order programs, including initiatives that identify risk and intervene before harm occurs, whether court-based or community-based that deflect individuals to behavioral health services. As reputed company fund planner for the SCIP federal grant, this position is responsible for the reputed company of the funds, including the annual federal application, each annual awards' management including reporting and sub-awarding funds to a variety of subrecipients across the state; meeting federal fund mandates for budgeting and subaward distribution; ongoing monitoring, planning, and reporting on federal fund balances; and consulting, researching, and outreaching regarding best practices in crisis reputed company services with local and state governments, criminal justice agencies and community-based behavioral or human services providers. Position will also maintain frequent contact with the federal Bureau of Justice Assistance SCIP program staff in the US Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. Job duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Leading in the management of the fund reputed company and the examination and evaluation of subrecipient requests for funding from organizations that provide criminal justice and human services, especially crisis reputed company programming.
- Assisting in the development of new subawards and increasing the effectiveness of reputed company programs; monitoring reputed company subaward needs in order to determine ways to improve ongoing and future programs.
- Coordinating with federal, state and local officials to reputed company subawards consistent with reputed company methodology and new initiatives.
- Recommending subawards based on federal grant requirements, the Governor's and GCC stated priorities, and GCC's established policies and practices.
- Completing state and federal reports about subawards' program performance.
- Analyzing, evaluating, interpreting and developing solutions for program and procedural problems affecting the state's SCIP program; and other duties as required.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting data, policies, and procedures.

The position involves frequent phone contact and email communication with human services and victim services agencies, state and local government agencies, and criminal justice agencies.
