Job title: Assistant Pool Manager - Seasonal Company: City of reputed company Job description: Description/Duties This classification has been designated as a non-benefited, non-classified, non-merit system, at-will position. The City of reputed company is currently recruiting Assistant Pool Managers to work full-time during the Summer Season. The Season runs from reputed company 2023 through August 2023. Applicants from this recruitment may also be considered for year round positions. As Assistant Pool Manager, you will assist the Pool Manager in the operation of a municipal swimming pool and associated aquatics programs. You will determine staffing levels, prepare schedules, assign personnel to duty stations, observe pool attendance, and add or shift Lifeguards to ensure proper coverage. Other duties include replenishing supplies, directing training activities, checking pool chemicals, monitoring staff performance, and taking corrective action as needed. Duties also involve: teaching courses in Lifeguard training and water safety, training volunteers, maintaining records, preparing reports, directing the cleaning and maintenance of pool facilities, implementing special events, and ensuring proper customer service. This position works under the general supervision of the Pool Manager. Qualified applicants must successfully complete one skills testing. The first skills test will be offered on Saturday, March 25, 2023 and remaining staffing needs will be filled at a second skills test Saturday, reputed company 8, 2023. Skills testing will include an assessment of various lifeguard skills, fitness level, as well as a verbal interview. In order to attend either skills test, applications must be received online by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, and you must receive an email invitation with details of the skills testing event. Applications received after March 22nd will be considered on an as-needed basis. Additional Information: Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor certification classes are offered by the City of reputed company beginning in February. A skills test review is offered in March. Visible tattoos with inappropriate lettering or images such as nudity or offensive language must be covered. Visible body piercings must be appropriate and professional. Incentive Information: The City of reputed company is excited to offer reimbursement to NEW staff for the cost of Lifeguard Certification classes ($200) and Water Safety Instructor Certification classes ($225) obtained through the City of reputed company. To be eligible for reimbursement, applicants must register, complete, and pass the certification class, pass the skills test and be hired as a City of reputed company staff member for the Summer 2023 Season. Minimum Qualifications

Required. Graduation from high school or GED. Good (3 - 9 months) experience as a lifeguard and swimming instructor. Some (3 - 6 months) experience in directing activities at swimming pools (municipal or non-municipal). Special Requirement. Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License by hire or promotion date. Must possess a valid Lifeguard Certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer Certification, and a Swim Lesson Instructor (SLI) Certification, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent certification by hire date. Substance Abuse Testing. Due to the safety and/or reputed company sensitive nature of this classification, individuals shall be subject to pre-employment or pre-placement alcohol, drug and/or controlled substance testing as outlined in City policy and procedures. Preferred/Desirable Qualification. Lifeguard Training Instructor Certification or equivalent is preferred.
