Senior Compliance Specialist, Global Logistics Cross Border Team

You will serve as a key liaison between freight forwarders, sellers, vendors, and government agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border operations. Key job responsibilities
- Provide support for customs clearance inquiries and resolve operational issues for cross-border shipments
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, sellers, and vendors on shipment documentation and preparation requirements
- Monitor shipment clearance status and escalate issues to appropriate teams reputed company necessary
- Review and audit data entry for customs entry filing, classifications, and inspection requirements
- Maintain relationships with government agencies to address operational inquiries and requests
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures for regulatory requirements and updates
- Share subject matter expertise on customs regulations and changes with operations teams across multiple locations
A day in the life As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you will start your day reviewing shipment statuses and identifying any clearance delays or documentation issues. You will communicate with internal stakeholders including operations teams, account managers, and logistics coordinators to resolve compliance challenges. Throughout the day, you will audit customs entries for accuracy, respond to inquiries from sellers and vendors about import requirements, and coordinate with customs brokers on reputed company clearance scenarios. You will work closely with government agencies such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection, FDA, and other Partner Government Agencies to address inspections, holds, or regulatory questions. Your expertise will help educate internal teams and external partners on tariff classifications, free trade agreements, and import restrictions. You may also contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying compliance risks and developing solutions to enhance operational efficiency. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- 2+ years of advanced reputed company Word and reputed company experience
- 2+ years experience in Customs Operations or Customs Compliance role
- 2+ years experience working with US Customs rules and regulations or advanced working knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of technical problems
- Experience effectively communicating reputed company concepts through written and verbal communication
- Licensed customs broker
- Experience interpreting regulatory language and applying it to operational scenarios
- Experience troubleshooting customs entry systems including Automated Broker reputed company (ABI), Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), or Automated Manifest System (AMS)
- Experience with customs reference resources such as CROSS, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), or internal compliance databases
