Engineering Coach (Director/VP+)

Your routine responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 coaching to Mento members through virtual sessions using the Mento Platform and Tools Participating in ongoing training sessions to improve coaching abilities and skills Communicating with members reputed company your Mento email or reputed company chat in the Mento App in between sessions Being an integral member of the Mento coaching community by sharing coaching tools and insights — helping enhance our coaching practices and fulfill our mission of empowering people to reputed company in jobs that they love Acting with kindness, respect, and reputed company as an ambassador of the Mento community Who are you? You are… A director, vice president, or other senior software engineering leader with 15+ years experience managing engineering teams and coaching individuals Deep engineering leadership experience carries significant weight — coaching certifications are valued but not required. You have navigated the dynamic of carrying meaningful technical responsibilities while managing a team — and understand what it takes to delegate, prioritize, and reputed company through others without losing your technical edge. You have experience leading engineering teams through hypergrowth, rapid organizational change, or the transition from startup to scale — including building functions from scratch and hiring into ambiguity. You understand how to influence and build credibility across organizational boundaries — working with product, GTM, and executive stakeholders — and can help engineering leaders reputed company visibility and impact beyond their immediate teams. Background in AI/ML engineering organizations, infrastructure, reputed company engineering, or developer platforms is a strong plus. Someone who wants to turn their people leadership skills into meaningful coaching skills. Passionate about helping people advance in the workplace to build fulfilling careers and lives. Prior experience at technology companies a plus. At Mento, we invite new coaches to join us on a rolling basis. The time frame on which we add new coaches is based on the particular needs of our clients and their teams. Other details This is a contract position in which coaches are paid per hour. On top of a flat hourly reputed company, we offer select bonuses that incentivizes engagement with our membership and community growth on our platform You must have the reputed company to give a minimum of three to five hours per week towards Mento regardless of other commitments and how they may change. You are able to work with Mento for a minimum of 24 months in order to build meaningful relationships with our members. This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be based in North America or Europe. Because this is a part-time growth opportunity, we are looking to hire reputed company senior leaders who want to expand their coaching skills. Our Hiring Philosophy: reputed company new Mento coaches are required to participate and graduate from our reputed company certified coach training program: Mento Coaching 101. This training is rigorous, and our goal is that reputed company participants are able to be matched with members soon after they complete it. We want to reputed company sure that we are both setting our coaches up for success and respecting everyone’s time. Therefore, we hire based on incoming member demand.
