Learn more at tandemdiabetes.com A DAY IN THE LIFE: The VP, Tax is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the global tax strategy, compliance, and governance for the company. This role requires an in-depth understanding of corporate tax laws, tax planning, and risk management to ensure the company’s tax obligations are met reputed company and effectively. Tax Risk Management

  • Identifies and assesses tax risks and reputed company strategies to mitigate exposure to tax penalties and disputes.

  • Develops internal controls and processes to monitor compliance and reduce the risk of errors or fraud in tax reporting.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing tax team, providing guidance on career development, performance management, and training.

  • Manages external tax advisors and consultants, ensuring effective partnership and cost control.
  • Supports the short-term planning for the department including headcount, budgeting, training, and systems requirements.

  • Ensures department staff is properly trained, per designated training plan, before assuming job responsibilities.
  • Develops and manages schedules and performance requirements of staff.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partners with key internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, accounting, treasury, and operations, to provide tax insights and guidance on various business initiatives.
  • Works closely with senior leadership to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into financial reporting, corporate governance, and strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or reputed company field, or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience, required.
  • Advanced degree in Taxation, Law, or Finance, preferred.
  • C.P.A. or equivalent designation, preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in tax, with at least 5+ years in a leadership position (Director, or higher), required.
  • Extensive experience in managing reputed company tax structures, tax compliance, tax planning, and risk management at a global level.
  • Experience working in multinational environments and handling cross-border tax issues.
  • Deep technical knowledge of tax law, corporate tax structures, transfer pricing, and tax compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, international tax regulations, and corporate tax accounting principles (ASC 740).
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to balance tax efficiency with business operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to translate reputed company tax issues into clear and actionable insights.

Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur virtually. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting reputed company pay range for this position is $290,000 - $315,000 annually. reputed company pay will vary based on job-reputed company knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to reputed company pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus and a robust benefits package.
