About the position Jackson Care Connect (JCC) is a Coordinated Care Organization, providing services under the Oregon Health Plan, Healthier Oregon Program and/or Basic Health Plan in Jackson County. JCC’s mission is to reputed company people and systems to improve the health of our community. As a not-for-profit health plan, it is dedicated to investing in high-reputed company health improvement focus areas identified by local communities and by reputed company and CCO-facing staff. As a community benefit organization, Jackson Care Connect strives to bring together providers and care partners to assure affordable, high-quality coverage and care for the community. The Executive executes JCC’s vision, strategic initiatives and business plan. This individual has overall accountability for the OHA CCO contract and works collaboratively with others in executive leadership to reputed company and communicate the organization’s direction and ensure a highly functioning CCO. The Executive reports to the CCO Board of Directors and reputed company’s Chief Medicaid Programs Officer. The individual manages the CCO board and its governing committees. The Executive also serves on the reputed company Strategic Executive Team to bring the line of business perspective to corporate leadership discussions. This position also acts as primary CCO liaison to OHA leadership.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience developing, managing, or influencing managed reputed company care policy or programs
  • Minimum of 3 years of Medicaid experience in a health plan or public agency setting (can include board or advisory roles)
  • Experience with state and federal Medicaid managed care program contractual requirements, regulations and statutes, including Oregon Health Plan health care laws and regulations
  • Understanding of the nature of governance; board obligations, responsibilities, roles, and duties; governance/director best practices
  • Understanding of relational orientation, with strong communication skills across supervisory levels and effective conflict‑management capabilities
  • Understanding of Jackson Care Connect, including its market, vision/mission, strategies, management, operations, and financial structure
  • Understanding of healthcare industry structure/dynamics
  • Understanding of health plan financing, health care costs, health outcome measures such as HEDIS and CAHPS, and health plan operations, such as claims payment, customer service, medical management, and quality improvement
  • Knowledge of state and federal Medicaid managed care program contractual requirements, regulations and statutes, including Oregon Health Plan health care laws and regulations
  • Ability to build and strengthen relationships and a culture of trust
