• Plans, organizes, assigns, and supervises individuals or crews in building plumbing and plumbing utilities.
• Develops and administers preventive maintenance programs; provides training and evaluates employees; and communicates with customers, employees, and university administration personnel; and schedules work assignments.
• Maintains records of labor and material costs and requisitions material.
• Submits reports on status and costs of maintenance projects.
• Interviews potential employees.
• Promotes safety and environmental protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, Vocational training or Apprenticeships in a reputed company field.
• Seven (7) years of reputed company work experience.
• Additional education may substitute for experience on a one year for one year basis.
• This position requires the ability to maintain the reputed company and reputed company of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

• Exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards, hazardous chemicals, high pressure water and reputed company systems, high speed equipment, confined spaces, and heights.
• Exposure to variable Texas weather conditions and/or physical hazards such as working in reputed company and confined spaces; working in attics, sub-floors, machine rooms, on roofs, and other operational areas.
• Exposure may be prolonged.
