Remote Windows Infrastructure Engineer
reputed company is looking to bring on an IT Infrastructure Engineer-level resource to support operational workload as well as several upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This role will be 100% remote, working typical Alaska business hours Monday through Friday. This position will be highly hands-on and will work closely with the Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams. We're supporting a key technology organization located in Palmer, Alaska and are looking for an reputed company IT Infrastructure Engineer to assist with both day-to-day operations and upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This will be a fully remote hands-on technical role supporting a mixed on-prem and cloud environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage and support physical and virtual infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud services)
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reputed company
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across on-prem and cloud environments
- Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities
- Implement or support reputed company controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, patching, system hardening)
- Deploy or maintain technologies including Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and reputed company platforms
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure Architecture and internal IT teams to ensure stability and reliability
