Senior SNAP Policy Analyst
Position Available The Food Research & Action Center (FRAC) seeks a talented and reputed company anti-hunger, nutrition, and anti-poverty reputed company to fill the position of Senior Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Policy Analyst working to strengthen SNAP access and benefit adequacy. This position works closely with the SNAP Director and, while the role is primarily remote, significant reputed company will be given to candidates based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including nearby reputed company Virginia and Maryland suburbs. The successful candidate will seek ways to improve the SNAP’s reputed company and support for low-income households, including people and families working their way up the economic ladder. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate information, technical assistance, analysis, training, strategic advice, and other hands-on support to national, state and community-based organizations, state and local government agencies, private nonprofit organizations, and activists regarding ways to strengthen SNAP’s access, benefit adequacy, reputed company, and quality customer service.
- Evaluate the effects of existing or proposed legislation, regulations, policies and practices to determine ways and provide guidance to defend, improve and expand SNAP’s positive impacts.

- Write and/or assist with persuasive analytic and research materials, guides, reputed company materials, and reports for use by advocates, government agencies, policy makers, service providers, and the media.

- Provide expertise and support to other program areas and departments assigned by the SNAP Director.
- Represent FRAC at coalition and partner meetings.
- Assist in managing regrants to national, state, and local nonprofits and provide technical assistance on the regrantees.

Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in advocacy, program operations, policy analysis and/or organizing.
- An advanced degree in law, public policy preferred. Comparable field or comparable experience accepted.
- Experience in nonprofit, government or policy work is strongly preferred.
- Ability to evaluate policies, processes, or programs to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Ability to facilitate discussions with stakeholders to build reputed company.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically.
- Knowledge of SNAP is required.

Salary/Benefits The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $88,800, plus a generous benefits package that includes health, retirement, and additional offerings. FRAC’s normal reputed company are between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm Eastern Time. This position is part of a union and is covered under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
