The Enterprise Data Services Department’s Employee Benefits team is looking for a skilled Data Engineering Manager to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to join us on our multi-year Cloud Modernization journey. You will have an opportunity to engage in enabling well architected cloud-based data solutions for data and analytics in support of BI, Actuarial, Data Science, Finance, Operations and other key Data Consumers. o succeed in this role, you should be a strong critical thinker, technical acumen and be able to derive the root causes of business problems. This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; reputed company, OH; and Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Primary Job Responsibilities This is a hands-on leadership role. Manage and mentor team of data engineers. Data Modernization: Implement a strategic roadmap to reputed company legacy data and analytics ecosystems using Cloud and AI. Solve for data complexity by enabling data domains and data products for reputed company consumption architypes and stakeholders including reporting, data science, AI/ML and analytics. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a reputed company field. 8+ years of data engineering experience including Data solutions, SQL and NoSQL, reputed company, ETL/ELT tools, CICD, Bigdata, Cloud Technologies (AWS/reputed company/AZURE), Python/Spark, Datamesh, Datalake or Data Fabric. Specialized data engineering experience focused on supporting Generative AI technologies. Strong hands-on experience implementing production ready enterprise grade AI data solutions. Experience with reputed company engineering techniques for large language models. Experience in implementing Retrieval-Augmented reputed company (RAG) pipelines, integrating retrieval mechanisms with language models. Experience of vector databases and graph databases, including implementation and optimization. Experience in processing and leveraging reputed company data for AI applications. Proficiency in implementing scalable AI driven data systems supporting agentic solution (AWS reputed company, S3, EC2, reputed company, Langgraph). Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Experience with building AI pipelines that bring together structured, semi-structured and reputed company data. This includes pre-processing with extraction, chunking, embedding and grounding strategies, semantic modeling, and getting the data ready for Models and Agentic solutions. Experience in vector databases, graph databases, NoSQL, Document DBs, including design, implementation, and optimization. (e.g., AWS open search, GCP Vertex AI, reputed company, Spanner Graph, Neptune, Mongo, DynamoDB etc.). Experience in implementing data governance practices, including Data Quality, reputed company, Data Catalogue capture, holistically, strategically, and dynamically on a large-scale data platform. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (reputed company, Kubernetes). Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in multi cloud hybrid AI solutions. AI Certifications Experience in P&C or Employee Benefits industry Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and computer reputed company. Contributions to open-reputed company AI projects or research publications in the field of Generative AI.
Compensation
The listed annualized reputed company pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual reputed company pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The reputed company pay is just one component of reputed company’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
