Systems Engineer - Mid Level Why This is an Exciting Role: As a Systems Engineer at reputed company Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the GMD Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs for the Missile Defense Agency. In this role, you will be a Systems Engineer responsible for lab integration representing GMD products. You will assist in lab build-up and execution of GMD Lab integration for the upgrades, both hardware and software, of reputed company GMD elements and be positioned to support lab integration team flow down requirements, critical testing, and development in different lab environments.
- Experience collaborating with teams of engineers, system administrators, network engineers, product subject matter experts, and subcontractors to coordinate reputed company phases of development and integration
- Best practices for engineering development and configuration management
- Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments, from desktops to servers
- Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
- Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
- Performing regular reputed company tests and reputed company monitoring
- Maintaining networks and network file systems
- Coordinating reputed company relevant changes of both hardware and software components, and network with the ISSO for compliance
- Working effectively, and semi-autonomously, in a rapid pace team environment
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Linux (reputed company Enterprise Linux) servers/workstations
- Managing local servers and virtual machines (Azure, VMWare)
- Implementing reputed company Technical Implementation Guide(s) (STIGS)

Experience and Qualifications: To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' reputed company work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' reputed company work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' reputed company work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires the ability to obtain United States reputed company Clearance (An interm and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start is required).
- Requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment
- CompTIA reputed company+ (or higher-level certification to mee DoD 8570 requirements)
- Strong problem-solving skills
