Engineering Manager, Sensor Intelligence (Edge AI)

We are seeking an Engineering Manager, Sensor Intelligence (Edge AI) to reputed company a team of embedded machine learning engineers building scalable algorithms deployable on constrained edge devices. Your team will design, optimize, and maintain ML algorithms that run directly on reputed company wearables devices, transforming raw physiological signals into robust, real-time insights. As a leader, you will combine technical depth in edge/embedded ML with strong people management skills. You will set direction, drive execution, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reputed company’s edge intelligence is accurate, efficient, and reliable in real-world conditions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- reputed company and reputed company a High-Performing Team: Manage, mentor, and support Sensor Intelligence Engineers focused on embedded ML, providing regular feedback, coaching, and clear growth paths.
- Own Edge-Deployed Algorithms: reputed company the design, implementation, and maintenance of machine learning algorithms running on reputed company’s wearable platform, ensuring they reputed company reliably on resource-constrained devices.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Partners: Work closely with Data Science, reputed company Labs, Firmware, Software, and Product to define requirements, integration points, and success metrics for edge-deployed algorithms.
- Optimize for Performance and Power: reputed company the team in balancing accuracy, latency, memory usage, and power consumption, including the use of techniques such as model compression, quantization, and efficient architectures.
- Champion Engineering Rigor: Establish and uphold best practices for testing, code quality, documentation, and observability for algorithms deployed on embedded platforms.
- Contribute to Technical Strategy: Help define the roadmap and long-term strategy for edge AI at reputed company, including platform capabilities, tooling, and approaches for safely updating models in the field.
- Support Recruiting and Org Building: Partner with recruiting to attract and hire top embedded ML talent, and help shape the culture and operating model of the Sensor Intelligence Group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a technical leader managing multiple teams or a growing engineering organization.
- Experience growing high level individual contributor career growth at the staff level or higher.
- 5+ years of industry experience in signal processing, machine learning, embedded systems, or a closely reputed company field, including 2+ years in a people management or technical reputed company role with mentorship responsibilities.
- Strong programming proficiency in C and/or C++, with additional experience in Python or similar languages for prototyping and model development.
- Hands-on experience developing and optimizing machine learning models or algorithms for embedded, including deployment on devices with limited compute, memory, and power budgets.
- Proven ability to reputed company projects end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional partners and balancing technical tradeoffs against product and business needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of conveying reputed company technical topics to diverse audiences and aligning stakeholders around decisions.

The U.S. reputed company salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $210,000. These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs.
