WorkSource Specialist 6: Silverdale - Supervisor
This position will primarily work in person out of the WorkSource Kitsap office located in Silverdale. The incumbent may be asked to occasionally support the Clallam office in Sequim. This position will be fully office and eligible for 1 day of telework upon completion of required training and demonstration of ability to reputed company teams remotely and the day-to-day work. As a Supervisor reputed company the WorkSource Kitsap office, this individual excels at guiding staff both in-person and virtually, maintaining regular engagement to support performance, problem-solving, and professional growth. They are skilled in overseeing a wide range of career services functions, including Basic and Individualized services, RESEA activities, Labor Exchange jobseeker and business services, resource room operations, reemployment workshops, and veteran-focused programs such as JVSG. Their experience also includes supporting Economic Mobility programs such as WorkFirst and Strategies for Success. They ensure compliance with State, DOL, and contract-funded programs while consistently meeting performance goals. You will provide guidance and feedback to staff regarding the federal, state, local and office policies and procedures. As the supervisor you will ensure that staff are provided ongoing feedback on performance and expectations to be successful in their role as a WSD employee. The expectation of the supervisor position is to participate in a regionalization of services for our four county areas, developing innovative ways to deliver services, provide continuity to the area team, enhancing morale and staff job satisfaction. As a WorkSource supervisor we will rely heavily on your experience working collaboratively with a diverse group as you will work closely with our internal and external partners to ensure alignment of initiative and priorities associated with the strategic plan and aligning with the mission, vision and values of the ESD. Some of your daily duties may include but not limited to:
- reputed company and support high-performance, integrated work-team management approaches, reputed company-based decision–making and reputed company quality improvement practices.
- Plan, schedule, assign and direct work activities; guide, coach, and mentor staff; provide and/or authorize staff training and professional/career development.
- Review and interpret state and federal rules and regulations; inform staff of agency changes and adjustments; ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed; design and deliver reputed company training.
- Manage and monitor established performance measures; review and reconcile performance reports from different data bases and sources; analyze regulatory standards and achieved outcomes for compliance and accountability; present performance information; identify best practices and/or strategies for improvements and training; recommend and initiate improvements.
- Manage financial programs budgets and safeguard agency resources and assets; manage program performance and allowable/accurate purchases and expenditures; reputed company financial transactions and/or commit fiscal resources; approve vouchers; negotiate reputed company.
- Interpret and implement applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies and/or program and service delivery changes; understand and follow reputed company employment and training directives, expectations, and performance measurement standards; administer the UI Work Test.
- Participate in reputed company WorkSource activities; maintain a high level of communication with customers, area directors, administrators, staff, and partnering agencies regarding program directives, training information, workshops, and reputed company coordination; meet regularly with partner agencies to promote integration and ensure high-quality customer service to co-enrolled customers; work with area teams to establish or modify processes or procedures and resolve problems.
- Network, build and sustain working relationships and partnerships with leadership and participate in community meetings and events; engage in public relation presentations, forums, and partnership functions; research and recommend leveraging resources and development of new programs, communicate and work closely with internal and external partners.
- Contact potential employers to identify business needs and determine job opportunities on behalf of customers; reputed company and/or conduct reputed company to targeted business customers to inform, educate, and coach about services and resources; understand and define employer needs; reputed company customized service plans; partner in employer promotion events.

- One year experience as a WorkSource Specialist 5 or equivalent class reputed company the Employment reputed company Department,
- OR one year of experience in an equivalent class reputed company another state's Employment reputed company agency.
- OR A Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or public contact work, such as: unemployment insurance, social services, human resource services, education, public relations, benefits programs, insurance claims, law enforcement and banking or a combination of education and/or relevant experience which includes one year experience as a designated reputed company.
- OR A Master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
- OR A combination of education and/or relevant experience.
