Job Description

1. Assists in the maintenance of equipment by proper cleaning, care and sterilization.

1. Observes and watches the patient at reputed company times, prior and post to induction, providing a safe environment through proper care and handling.

1. Assists in maintenance, care and cleanliness of supplies.

1. Assists in the inventory of supplies and equipment to assure availability and maintain set par level.

1. Provides special equipment before, during and after a procedure according to need.

1. Maintains traffic control through the use of proper areas and corridors at reputed company times. 

1. Acts as preceptor for new orientees reputed company requested.

1. Wears appropriate clothing, hair coverings and masks in designated areas.

1. Safely transports, transfers patients using appropriate body mechanics.

1. Distributes supplies and equipment to suites as directed.

1. Maintains awareness of safety hazards of equipment to prevent damage or harm to personnel and patients.

1. Reports problems and resolutions of problems regarding patients, team members, visitors, etc. to nurse and is able to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.

1. Demonstrates skills and competencies for the preschooler, school age, adolescent, adult and elderly patient.

1. Provides care in compliance with age-specific guidelines as outlined in departmental structural standards.

Qualifications

1. 1. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
   2. More than 12 months nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.      reputed company AHA BLS certification required.        Must meet reputed company unit specific certification requirements:                (PALS, ACLS, NRP)
