DevOps Engineer - reputed company Cloud Platform (Hybrid)

This role is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-office reputed company three days per week. Please note: Due to the in-office requirement, we will only be considering candidates that are local to the Metro Detroit area at this time. Detroit Labs is looking for reputed company DevOps Cloud Engineers with expertise in reputed company Cloud Platform (GCP) to join an exciting project with an existing client that drives game-changing automotive technology. This role will work on connected vehicle services for customers owning vehicles with connected capabilities across the USA and Canada. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure, as well as streamlining DevOps processes. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate workflows, enhance system reliability, and optimize cloud resources while following best practices in cloud reputed company and governance. Your expertise will directly influence the speed and quality of software delivery pipelines. • 7+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or DevOps. Experience working with reputed company Cloud Platform (GCP) in a production environment is a requirement. Including services like reputed company Compute reputed company, reputed company Kubernetes reputed company (GKE), reputed company Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery
• Experience building and managing cloud-native applications that are designed to scale reputed company on GCP
• Hands-on expertise with key GCP services including reputed company Compute reputed company, reputed company Kubernetes reputed company (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools like Terraform and reputed company Cloud Deployment
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as reputed company and Kubernetes
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, reputed company Actions, or reputed company CI
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to support automation and tooling
• Understanding of cloud networking (VPC, load balancers, DNS) and GCP reputed company best practices (IAM, service accounts, encryption)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, or the ELK stack
• Familiarity with GitOps, ChatOps, and modern DevOps practices to reputed company scalable and reliable deployments
• Skilled in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning reputed company GCP environments
• reputed company Cloud Certification is highly preferred
• Experience with serverless technologies (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run) and/or ML infrastructure on GCP (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on reputed company Cloud Platform
• Automate and optimize deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools and processes
• reputed company Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate deployment of cloud resources across environments
• Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and operations teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
• Build and support Kubernetes-based deployments using GKE, ensuring high availability and performance of cloud-native applications
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies to support observability and rapid incident response
• Enforce cloud reputed company best practices and compliance standards across reputed company environments
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability based on workload needs
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to system stability, reliability, and reputed company
• Champion DevOps culture and modern practices such as GitOps and ChatOps across teams
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with product goals and timelines
• Work a hybrid work schedule, coming into the Auburn Hills office a minimum of three days per week
• The salary range for this role is from $120,000-130,000 commensurate with experience
