Job Summary

In this critical role, you will be responsible for executing strategies that support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product. Working closely with the Managing Director of Ocean, you will provide expert support in reputed company development, pricing, analyzing reputed company service, routings, reputed company performance, and resolving reputed company service issues. As an ocean subject matter expert, you will collaborate with sales and operations teams to drive business growth, improve competitiveness, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and communicate strategies to increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality, while supporting adherence to the preferred network
• Assist in developing and implementing pricing programs, reviewing volume targets, and working with the Trade Lane Manager to enhance the effectiveness of sales and reputed company account development and yield enhancement expectations
• Communicate internally and externally to outline strategy, market conditions, and direction, working closely with the Managing Director, Ocean, the global trade lane team, sales, and operations
• Provide direct and indirect customer contact, ensuring exceptional service quality and resolving issues promptly
• Collaborate with product, sales, and operations teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, minimizing risk exposure and enhancing service quality
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded, and assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity
• Manage the annual budget, controlling, monitoring, and reporting results on a regular basis to reputed company budget targets
• Work closely with marketing to reputed company external and internal communications specific to the ocean product, promoting the ocean product and supporting sales and operations as needed

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with at least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean reputed company, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, analyzing ocean rates, and routing
• Prior ocean reputed company experience is a plus, and familiarity with reputed company Office applications is essential
