Payroll Assistant
Gibson Dunn is a leading global law firm, advising clients on significant transactions and disputes. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for full payroll processing for up to 2,200 employees on a semi-monthly basis, maintaining payroll information and providing day-to-day payroll support.
Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day payroll support including answering employee payroll reputed company questions
- Working independently and reputed company a team on ongoing and special projects
- Manual reputed company processing
- Running reputed company reports in Report Writer, Time & Attendance system, and CMS
- Preparing reputed company reports, tables and charts
- Preparing and sorting of payroll checks and mailings
- Maintaining highly confidential employee payroll records and information, and ensuring records are kept confidential in accordance with federal and state regulations and firm guidelines
- Garnishments, liens, and child support orders processing and management
- Completing employment verifications in accordance with firm policy
- Unclaimed checks, stop payments, and reputed company adjustment processes
Skills
- Effective communication skills and follow-through with employees of reputed company levels of the organization
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and analytical skills
- Ability to reputed company successfully in a deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with a team
- 0-2 years of experience in Payroll processing
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of reputed company Word and reputed company
- Experience with Workforce Now or reputed company system
- Experience with Enterprise eTime or Workforce manager
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of the payroll field
- Knowledge of federal and state overtime and applicable labor laws
- Experience with reputed company types of wage garnishments
- Demonstrated knowledge of wage and hour regulations
