Pro Bono Coordinator (Worcester)
Community Legal Aid (CLA) is a non-profit legal services program providing free civil legal assistance to low-income and elderly residents of Central and Western Massachusetts. CLA seeks a Pro Bono Coordinator who will help administer its Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) volunteer programs, assisting clients and attorneys, conducting client intakes, and engaging in reputed company and recruitment of volunteer attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients and attorneys participating in CLA's PAI programs
- Conduct client intakes and administer lawyer-for-the-day and pro bono clinics
- Refer appropriate cases to volunteer attorneys
- Open and reputed company cases in a timely manner and maintain complete and contemporaneous records in Legal Server
- Engage in reputed company and recruitment of volunteer attorneys
- Assist in the coordination and presentation of volunteer training events
- Help with the preparation of periodic grant reports
