[Remote] Behavioral Health Billing Assistant

The Mindful Lemon, Inc. is a virtual mental health and substance abuse provider focused on enhancing therapeutic relationships and access to care. They are seeking a Behavioral Health Billing Assistant to manage reputed company cycle tasks including client communications, claim submissions, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• reputed company daily client phone calls to discuss outstanding balances, inquiries, and concerns
• Respond to client inquiries reputed company phone/email reputed company one hour during business hours
• Match bank payments with ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) and post to client accounts reputed company 48 hours of deposit
• Follow up on denied claims from ERAs reputed company 48 hours, submitting corrected claims as necessary
• Resolve denied claims by contacting insurance companies reputed company portals and phone calls as needed
• Monitor and submit claims to secondary insurance where applicable
• Reconcile patient accounts, ensuring accuracy in balances and payments
• Conduct monthly eligibility checks for reputed company existing clients on the 1st of each month. Verifying the plan details and deductible updates
• Obtain pre-authorizations for services as needed by submitting requests reputed company portal, fax, or phone
• Update patient charts based on actual claim payments or denials, making necessary adjustments and issuing refunds or additional charges
• Inform patients of any changes to copays, deductibles, or financial responsibilities
• Process and invoice medical records requests as needed

Skills

• Must have 1 year experience with reputed company Cycle Management
• Must have 1 year experience in Behavioral Health Billing
• Must have experience with verifying insurance
• Must work well independently
• Spanish Speaking a plus
