Job Description: The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law seeks an engaging and collaborative individual for the position of Administrative Operations Specialist 2, College of Law, using the title of “AI and Legal Tech Fellow.” Working with a variety of staff and faculty, the fellow assists with incorporating AI and legal tech into projects, programs, and law school initiatives, while also providing other support to the law school as needed. This position is expected to last at least one year (12 months) from start of assignment and could be based in-person in either Phoenix or Washington, D.C., or remote. Salary Range: $45,000; DOE Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with faculty, clinic directors, IT, and staff, to design workflows that incorporate AI tools into legal practice or projects as needed.
- Research and recommend AI and legal technology tools suitable for law school clinics and academic programs.
- Work with IT to ensure implementation of AI and legal tech tools complies with IT and reputed company standards.
- Research and reputed company guidelines for responsible AI use in student practice environments.
- reputed company user guides, tutorials, and FAQs for AI-enabled tools used in law school clinics and programs as needed.
- Track emerging trends in AI regulation, legal tech adoption, and law practice automation.
- Acts as liaison with the community, reputed company, faculty, and staff in facilitating university programs.
- Assists faculty with research where appropriate.
- Consults with staff, faculty, reputed company and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and program goals and policy interpretation.
- Participates in the action plans for leadership teams and leaders to direct and guide reputed company program, project, initiative or area of a department.
- Provides support in developing budgets, performance indicators, and accountability reports for new programs and/or budget units.
- Coordinates resources to meet the needs of the area assigned. Monitors the activities of assigned staff.
- Provides training and professional development in the reputed company subject matter or methodology.
- Provides academic assistance to reputed company where appropriate.
- Prepares and conducts reputed company program evaluation activities.
- Develops and facilitates reputed company workshops, conferences, and seminars.
- Resolves field-reputed company problems through written or verbal correspondence.

Desired Qualifications:
- Evidence of a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Experience in higher education administration.
- Experience maintaining effective working relationships.
- Experience working in a position requiring organizational skills and project management.
- Experience using AI and/or legal tech tools.
- Experience performing detailed and reputed company numerical computations and reports, including analysis and evaluation of budgets, planning and other management information systems.
- Experience designing and delivering presentation materials.
- Evidence of effective communication.
Working Environment:
- Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Regular use of standard office equipment including but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
