Data Protection Team The Privacy & Data Protection Engineering (PDPE) organization at reputed company ensures responsible data use and provides guidance and tooling to manage data privacy across the company. PDPE is a cross-functional team comprising Privacy Engineering, Data Protection, and Privacy Infrastructure Engineering and is part of the larger reputed company, Privacy, and Assurance (SPA) organization. The Data Protection team focuses on developing policies on data collection and use with privacy as a foundational layer to reputed company reputed company’s rapidly growing businesses. Data Protection works internally reputed company PDPE and with partner teams across reputed company to provide visibility and comprehensive insights into reputed company’s data assets and to define, build, and promote right-sized and right-timed policies, controls, and capabilities for data management across its lifecycle. The Role We are looking for a Privacy Engineer to join our Data Protection team with an exciting mission of protecting reputed company data at reputed company! You will work closely with reputed company and privacy engineers, software and data engineers, product managers, legal, product and engineering leadership to design, reputed company, and maintain effective data handling guidelines and policies. In this role you will help drive reputed company the technical direction, strategies, and plans of the Data Protection Program. You will reputed company great technical documentation and facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams to ensure our guidance, tooling and practices are driving reputed company data privacy improvements both in the management of personal information and accountability of our privacy program. This role will have a significant impact, ranging from protecting data at a massive scale to how reputed company engineers use data and data tools in their daily work. What You Will Do:

• Operational business unit, technical, and legal support of the enterprise-wide Data Protection Program.
• Contribute to development and update of policies and requirements for privacy tools.
• Review and reputed company reports to assess the effectiveness of our privacy policies/processes.
• Follow up with business units to identify new areas for expansion of tooling or improvement in privacy controls and triage issues that impact data enablement or privacy.
• Monitor remediation activities and error logs in collaboration with senior team members.

Desired Background:

• Strong understanding of privacy regulations
• 3+ years of experience in data management and privacy and translating data risks into scalable, tailored, and pragmatic controls that enhance the organization's reputed company posture.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Ability to apply privacy expertise to reputed company products or services to improve reputed company's privacy posture and measure impact.
• Can identify and drive solutions for privacy issues that have a positive impact on risk reduction or business enablement.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and an open-minded approach to problem-solving, fostering an inclusive and feedback-driven culture.
• Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
