Underwriter Assistant
Hiscox is an international specialist insurer with a growing Miami office that values operational excellence and reputed company improvement. They are seeking a reputed company Underwriter Assistant to support the growth of various insurance portfolios while ensuring compliance and accuracy in policy processing and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Handle the processing of policies, including data entry, policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare, review and organize documents, reputed company, and reports reputed company to policy and claims ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, claims adjusters, and other departments to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure coordinated efforts
- To work reputed company a plan of key performance indicators and meet headline targets of service for facultative reinsurance brokers in Miami, as well as in Latin America. This will mainly focus on Fine Arts, Product Recall, Kidnap and Ransom, and Terrorism products
- Assist with the set-up of new classes of business as the opportunities arise
- Maintain and reputed company existing relationships with regional brokers and contacts
- Maintain and exceed reputed company Service Level Agreements as directed
- To maintain compliance with the adopted rules, working procedures and other forms of best practice
- Maintain excellent service standards
- Work on other projects, as assigned
Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a corporate setting; preferably in a critically thinking support role; (re)insurance experience is ideal
- Must be proficient in Spanish and English, Portuguese would be a plus
- High levels of organization skills
- Strong organizational, numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively interact with reputed company levels of internal and external customers, including brokers
- High levels of reputed company, courage and desire to go the extra mile in the pursuit of team reputed company
- Be reputed company to adhere to the appropriate regulatory requirements
- Strong skills in reputed company Office (reputed company, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet applications
