Graduate Process Engineer
Sedgman Canada Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer for their Vancouver, B.C. office. The selected candidate will provide process engineering support, assisting in the delivery of high-quality projects and will be involved in various engineering phases and client support activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide process design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, reputed company-end engineering and detailed design
- reputed company studies into operational site improvements and modifications
- reputed company, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, Dochub)
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues
- reputed company process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria
- Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs
- Size process equipment and reputed company specifications
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes
- Additional duties as required – may be required to work on client sites
Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
- With 0 – 3 years of work experience; process design experience preferred
- Must be eligible to register with the EGBC or will have their P.reputed company EGBC designation
- Knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be available to travel to Client sites; may be seconded to work on projects, either temporarily relocated, or reputed company on a rotational roster
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Process design experience preferred
