Overview
A Doctor of Audiology will provide complete diagnostic audio logic evaluations, vestibular evaluation, hearing aid dispensing, and auditory rehabilitation services to patients, including diagnosing hearing disorders and providing therapy for patients. - Manages hearing aid distribution, programing, and fitting hearing aids per hearing prescription orders. Supports patients and care givers by providing hearing aid care education. Is comfortable working with and repairing hearing aids, troubleshooting technology, and educating patients of hearing aid use.
- Conduct diagnostic comprehensive hearing evaluations, assessments, and hearing technology distribution
- Execute a treatment plan through counseling and education
- Establish rapport with, and gather history from, patients: conduct audiometric testing; counsel patients; and reputed company recommendations for hearing aids
- Fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems
- Create ear impressions, ear molds, and order instruments
- Program hearing aids
- Maintain documentation and patient files
- Own assigned schedule to maximize the ability to help patients hear through opportunities

- DLD Audiology required Certification/Licensure
- Hearing Aide Specialist VA license required
