About the Team

The Analytics group at arenaflex is responsible for providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions across various groups and stages. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Consumer & Growth, Business Operations, Dasher & Logistics, Customer Experience & reputed company, Merchant, Ads & Sales, New Verticals, and International Data Science. Your expertise in data analysis and interpretation will help drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will use your quantitative background to mentor other scientists and dive into large datasets to inform decision-making. You will work on a wide range of exciting challenges, including customer acquisition, fraud and support, marketing, balancing delivery and demand, new city launches, market efficiency, and more. Your responsibilities will include:

• Using quantitative analysis and data presentation to understand what drives our business
• Building full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools
• Working with and mentoring junior analysts to use more advanced techniques and solve challenges
• Producing recommendations and using statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings
• Providing insights to help business and product leaders understand market dynamics, personal behaviors, and long-term trends
• Identifying and measuring levers to help move key metrics and making recommendations
• Working backward from expertise and sizing issues to ideating solutions
• Reporting against our goals by identifying key metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track reputed company
• Collaborating with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor our logging

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a comparable domain
• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a reputed company role
• Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc.
• Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, including Matlab, R, reputed company, or Python
• Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools (e.g., Chartio, Looker, Tableau)
• The ability to take ambiguous issues and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
