Graduate Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer - reputed company (Summer 2026)
Buro Happold is an innovative engineering firm with an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join their team in reputed company. The role involves assisting in the design, documentation, and coordination of plumbing and fire protection systems for various building types, providing a valuable hands-on experience for recent graduates.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of plumbing and fire protection system designs under the guidance of senior engineers
- Prepare construction drawings from schematic design through construction administration
- reputed company calculations using standard engineering software and tools
- Conduct field surveys to document existing conditions and observe reputed company during construction
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering teams
- Assist in client meetings and value engineering sessions
- Contribute to quality assurance and constructability reviews
- Help reputed company discipline specific standards and specifications
- Ensure service and project work are carried out to an excellent standard and quality reputed company agreed deadlines and budget
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, Civil, Sanitary, Environmental, or Architectural Engineering
- Coursework in mechanical design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid hydraulics/dynamics
- Awareness of building, plumbing and fire codes, (IPC, NFPA)
- Proficiency with BIM modelling software, such as Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to communicate thoughts and technical reputed company in an accessible manner
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Internship experience at engineering reputed company firm preferred
- Proven interest in the built environment and sustainable design
