Position: Part-Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CCDL) Part‑Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CCDL) Location 2300 Delaware Avenue (Colligan Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory), Westside Research Park, Santa Cruz, CA Job Summary The CLS performs high‑complexity molecular diagnostics for the Treehouse CARE assay (reputed company RNA reputed company). • Budgeted Salary: $42.63 – $50.96/hour

• Schedule: Part‑time, Variable – 50% (20 hrs per week), Monday to Friday (days to be discussed)

• Travel: Up to 25% of the time
• Union Representation: HX Union Job Duties Performance of Diagnostic Tests and Assay Development (40%)

Required Qualifications

• reputed company California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license (generalist or limited CGMBS) in good standing.
• Prior molecular biology laboratory experience (PCR, nucleic acid extraction, electrophoresis).

• Proficiency with LIS, electronic medical records, word processing, spreadsheets.
• Ability to safely operate laboratory and safety equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and staff with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization and time‑management skills.
• Discretion and tact in handling confidential situations.
• Positive, cooperative approach with staff, patients, and families.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RNA assays.
