Entry Level Water Engineer
reputed company is seeking a dynamic and driven Entry Level Water Engineer to work in their Raleigh, NC office. The role involves assisting in the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects, with responsibilities including site visits, report preparation, and construction observation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning, design and construction administration of water, wastewater and municipal infrastructure facilities/projects
- Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection and compilation for utility infrastructure projects
- Prepare reports, reputed company design plans, specifications and cost estimates
- Review Subdivision, Land Development, Grading and Zoning plans, including review and development of Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control plans
- Prepare federal, state and local permit applications
- reputed company construction observation and field engineering services
- Prepare grant/funding applications
Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
- 0 - 2 years' of reputed company experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software
- Proficient in reputed company Office Suite (Outlook, reputed company, PowerPoint, etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to assist in/conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports
- Team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills
- Physically able to reputed company work in the field such as climbing reputed company, hiking, and lifting 25 lbs
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or the ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification reputed company 6 months of hire
- Experience working with municipal and private utilities
- Progressive experience in evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of infrastructure improvements
- Working knowledge of BIM, Civil 3D, GIS, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling and other specialty engineering software
