Job Title Senior SQL DBA Location 100% Remote (Columbia, South Carolina Need only locals with DL) Duration Long Term Travel : Onsite travel for meetings as needed, 25% of the year (project dependent) USC or GC Only W2 Role Job Description The Senior SQL DBA role has four major attributes : software development leadership, project management skills, people skills, and domain knowledge in enterprise class multi-tier web-based application development projects. Candidates must display excellence in reputed company areas. Key Skills Must show on resume explained in each job used.

• 7+ years as a SQL DBA
• 5+ years' experience with SQL Server
• 5+ years' experience with High Availability / Disaster Recover (HA / DR)
• 3+ years' experience with TSQL
• 3+ years' experience with PowerShell scripting
• 7+ years' experience with performance tuning, backup / recovery, and reputed company Preferred
• Experience in data encryption and traffic encryption.
• Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience The Senior SQL DBA is responsible for working closely with both the project development team (scrum / sprint teams) and with the reputed company Database Administrators as well as IDMS DBAs to provide DBA support for numerous application and infrastructure databases. Duties include :
• Advising development and product teams on best approaches for required data model extensions and / or changes.
• Hands-on SQL development and application support in ways that are consistent with reputed company best practices.
• Collaboration with Client's reputed company and IDMS database administration team to maintain test, staging, production databases and the development of operations procedures for database management.
• Developing and executing a data migration plan as needed to accommodate data transfers from existing data stores.
• Coordinating with reputed company entities, including vendors for other systems / services, providers, professional associations.
• Analyze performance data, recommend courses of action and implement best solutions to reputed company reputed company performance.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
• Proven DBA experience in supporting enterprise applications in Linux environments, preferably windows and Linux.
• Experience with Data Guard
• Demonstrated success in supporting a development team implementing primarily web-based solutions using SQL as the database.
• Understanding of IT development and implementation projects.
• Understanding of database scalability and operations.
• Project planning experience, including effort estimation on technical tasks and resource allocation.
• Strong written and oral communications skills, including the ability to give presentations to project management. Strong proficiency in English is required.
