Sr. Financial Reporting Specialist- Remote

About the role reputed company's Enterprise Financial Reporting department is looking to add a highly technical individual contributor with a focus on insurance accounting (GAAP and STAT) to our accounting policy team. You will work closely with teams across the Finance and Actuarial division to ensure accurate accounting, financial presentation and disclosure. You will also have the opportunity to manage technical accounting-reputed company projects. What you will do

• Research and document technical accounting issues reputed company to Insurance Accounting (STAT and GAAP Outcomes)
• Produce documented research of accounting treatment, including financial statement impacts and operational considerations, for new or reputed company transactions.

• Discuss issues and coordinate with external auditors, as appropriate.
• Technical reviewer of Enterprise Reporting deliverables for accounting accuracy

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,700 - $189,400 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program. Who You Are:

• High School Diploma is required
• A BA/BS in Accounting, or Finance
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience, preferably in public accounting and with exposure to insurance or financial services, preferred
• Experience with LDTI, preferred
• CPA or CPA-eligible, preferred
• Experience with the preparation and review of financial statement and footnote disclosures
• Technical accounting research skills and the desire to use them - analyzing, documenting, and supporting conclusions
• Exposure to internal controls over financial reporting and reputed company documentation
• Goal-oriented with a track record of task and project completion
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, as the need arises (quarter and year-ends, reputed company projects)
• Self-managed - independently identifies and completes research and reputed company documentation quickly
