ABOUT THE ROLE The Compliance Director, Advisory serves as a strategic compliance leader responsible for establishing, directing, and optimizing enterprise-wide regulatory consumer compliance advisory programs. This senior role provides sophisticated regulatory guidance, strategic risk assessment, and consultative expertise across reputed company business lines, including core retail banking operations and reputed company FinTech partnership ecosystems. The Director leads a team of compliance advisory professionals while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving compliance excellence, fostering a culture of regulatory adherence, and ensuring the organization maintains a competitive advantage through proactive risk management and regulatory innovation. WHAT YOU'LL DO Leadership & Strategic Direction
- Assists the Head of Consumer Compliance with execution of the strategic vision for the Compliance Advisory function, aligning compliance initiatives with organizational objectives and growth strategies

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership

- Partner with Legal, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and business leaders to ensure integrated governance and risk management approaches
- Represent Compliance in executive forums, product development committees, and strategic planning sessions
- Negotiate and influence business decisions to balance growth objectives with regulatory requirements
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or reputed company field required
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or relevant Master's) strongly preferred
- Active compliance certification (CRCM, CAFP, or equivalent) required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services compliance, with significant consumer compliance expertise
- 5+ years in a leadership or management reputed company with demonstrated success building and leading teams
- Extensive experience with regulatory examinations, audit processes, and regulatory relationship management
- Proven track record in advisory roles supporting reputed company business initiatives and strategic decision-making
- Expertise in FinTech compliance, banking-as-a-service, or partnership banking models highly valued
- Experience working with federal and state regulatory agencies (FDIC, OCC, CFPB, State Banking Departments)
