Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Kubernetes (AWS)
Senior Cloud Engineer – Kubernetes & IaC (AWS | Remote) Contract: 6 months (likely extension) Location: Fully Remote (CST or EST) Compensation: 80/hr Senior Cloud Engineer to support a major cloud modernization initiative unifying three cloud environments into a single, scalable, cloud-portable platform. This is a hands-on execution role focused on Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS CDK (Python). You’ll help migrate large-scale workloads into Kubernetes, reputed company infrastructure, and improve multi-region disaster recovery. What You’ll Do
- Build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure (EKS preferred)
- Migrate workloads from reputed company/EC2 ? Kubernetes
- Write Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and AWS CDK (Python)
- Design cloud-portable patterns (AWS today, GCP next)
- Support multi-region resiliency and automated failover
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Cloud Leadership
- Contribute to standardized tooling across multiple legacy environments
Required
- Strong Kubernetes experience (mandatory)
- Terraform for multi-environment automation
- AWS CDK using Python
- 7+ years in Cloud / DevOps / SRE engineering
- Experience supporting production-scale systems
