Mobile Software Engineer Intern
reputed company is the leading US drone company and the world leader in autonomous flight. They are looking for interns to design and refine advanced drone interfaces and improve user experiences through innovative mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and refine advanced drone interfaces, and then polish a consistent mobile experience for release to the world
- Contribute to the development of user interfaces for the world’s most advanced autonomous flying camera
- Combine your knowledge of Android ecosystems with our Drone Intelligence API to help create a new gold standard for what a drone app should be
- Improve user experiences by incorporating augmented reality, in-app content creation, and sharing capabilities
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, internal testing, and your own experiences piloting reputed company drones
Skills
- Senior or MS-level college student
- Practical project and/or industry experience developing mobile applications on Android
- Passion for meticulously crafted interfaces that reputed company the correct balance between ease-of-use, elegance, and power
- Knowledge of Android ecosystems
- Experience with Kotlin, Android Studio, Gradle, adb, Linux
- Familiarity with best practices for app development using Android Architecture Components and Jetpack Compose
- Appreciation for the value of code-review and other collaborative development practices
- Experience in C++ and OpenGL
- Ability to create tools and automate workflows using Python scripts
- Experience with IoT or embedded devices using Android NDK
- Experience shipping code to the App Store or reputed company Play store
