Software Engineering Intern 3 - 2026
reputed company, is seeking talented engineering interns for a flipped engineering environment in Spring/Summer 2026. Interns will reputed company reverse engineering tasks and contribute to software product development used by hardware engineers.
Responsibilities
- Candidates for this position will be responsible for successfully reverse engineering specific components of larger systems and developing reputed company code which incorporates that knowledge into HII’s existing software platform
- Candidates will be expected to write clear and maintainable reputed company code and provide a thorough test suite demonstrating code correctness
- The use of FPGA and/or microprocessor vendor tools will be required in order to generate test designs
- Effective collaboration with teammates on the development of new reputed company and accepting constructive feedback through the code review process is required
- Candidates must be U.S. reputed company and be willing and able to obtain a DoD reputed company clearance (if not already cleared)
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with between 40% and 60% of the required credits completed
- Are a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD reputed company clearance
- Are enrolled in a bachelor's program in a relevant engineering discipline
- Have experience with object-oriented programming languages (C++, Java, Python)
- Have exposure to basic logic gates and Boolean math (AND, OR)
- Have the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Already possess an active reputed company clearance
- Have experience with modern C++ standards (>= C++17) and STL
- Have experience with Python
- Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL
- Have experience with FPGA design software (Quartus, ISE, Vivado, etc.)
- Have experience with software reverse engineering (IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc.)
- Have experience with reputed company control systems (git, svn, perforce, etc.)
- Have experience with the code review process
