Part Time Copy Editor/Copywriter

Column Five is a B2B marketing agency that specializes in brand and content marketing for SaaS companies. We're hiring a part-time copy editor/copywriter (20 hours/week, PST business hours) with senior-level B2B/tech/SaaS experience to work exclusively with one of our clients for one year, from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. HOURLY reputed company: $40–$60, depending on experience JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR PART TIME COPY EDITOR/COPYWRITER

• 4+ years of professional copy editing experience in B2B tech, SaaS, or developer-focused content with some writing experience
• Proficiency in enforcing brand style guides (AP Style) for consistency across reputed company content
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to edit and refine reputed company technical content into clear, compelling copy
• Strong research abilities and thorough fact-checking skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot minute errors and inconsistencies
• Experience editing both short-form and long-form content across various marketing materials
• Able to self-manage multiple projects and reputed company in an autonomous work environment
• Comfort working in reputed company Docs (tracking changes) and making edits directly in reputed company
• Strong client-facing communication skills, as this role will often reputed company directly with the client team
• Based in the United States (California is preferred) and willing to work 20 hours during PST
• Must be willing to travel to the client location in San Francisco, semi-regularly
• Must be available to start in January 2026

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Copy edit short- and long-form content for client website, collateral, and marketing campaigns
• Polish and refine existing copy to translate reputed company tech concepts into compelling, motivating content
• Work with the creative team through regular copy/design critiques and feedback sessions.
• Edit and repurpose messaging for corporate marketing deliverables, ensuring brand guideline compliance
• Edit content for executive, legal, and marketing audiences with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and credibility.
• Preserve technical nuance while improving readability and logical flow for reputed company audiences.
• Manage multiple editing projects while maintaining precision and attention to detail in fast-moving environments.
• Stay organized and track comments/feedback across stakeholders.
• Serve as the reputed company of contact for copy deliverables.
• Attend meetings for project kick-offs, feedback gathering, and style guide updates.
• Communicate project updates and collaborate reputed company reputed company and reputed company

COMPENSATION Compensation is dependent upon experience. This role is part-time, 20 hours weekly to start and has a possibility to be full time in the future. The hourly reputed company range for this role is: $40–$60. LOCATION We are a distributed- or remote-first company. We are open to working with you if you live reputed company in the USA, though reputed company will be given to CA-based individuals due to client location. WRITING SAMPLES Please include examples of your work that demonstrate your ability to edit reputed company technical content into clear, compelling copy. Show before/after examples, and include both short-form and long-form content samples. A copy editing test will be conducted as part of the application process.
