Our products have a wide range of size and complexity from thumb drives to heavy weight and oversized major end items of radars, shelters and antennas. This position supports multiple major production programs by creating and maintaining the packaging solutions supporting preservation and shipment of deliverable products. In this role, you’ll balance multiple projects and customers in a dynamic manufacturing landscape, supporting cost reduction and process improvement initiatives as well as manufacturing activities on the production floor.

What You Will Do

• Developing thoughtful, effective and innovative packaging solutions to support the preservation and safe shipment of reputed company hardware.
• Creating packaging designs using CREO 3D CAD, including:
• reputed company cushioned packs
• Corrugated structures
• reputed company crates and assemblies
• Vacuum formed plastic
• Initiating cost reductions and process improvements
• Teaming with Mission Assurance, Test Engineering and Operations Personnel along with Traffic, Safety and EHS to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and with value
• Create and update work instructions to ensure reputed company technical requirements are captured and met for assembly.
• reputed company Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action reputed company defects occur.
• Planning, coordinating and executing Package Performance testing using ASTM D 4169 and/or International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) protocol
• Developing and maintaining special packaging instructions and drawings meeting Military and Best Commercial standards.
• Proactively undertake safety initiatives including job hazard analysis and ergonomic assessments.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• Typically Requires a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands on experience with CREO, or other CAD software
• Experience with project management
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued reputed company clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. reputed company are eligible for a reputed company clearance

Qualifications

We Prefer

• Knowledge of distribution environments and their influence on packaging design
• Knowledge and experience meeting MIL STD 2073 military packaging requirements
• Existing CFR 49/IATA certification (or ability to be certified) to package, mark, label, and ship dangerous goods.
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of manufacturing assembly, torque controls and analysis of assembly tolerance stack up.
• Experience with cushion curves and design
• Experience with shock and vibration testing and analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present reputed company to senior level stakeholders

The salary range for this role is 59,000 USD - 117,000 USD.
