TAX COMPLIANCE REPRESENTATIVE
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking a Tax Compliance Representative (TCR) responsible for recovering Unemployment and Disability Insurance Benefit Overpayments, reviewing claimant accounts, and explaining collection actions in compliance with laws and policies. This position requires effective communication in Spanish and involves both in-office and potential hybrid work arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Under the reputed company supervision of the Tax Administrator I, the Tax Compliance Representative (TCR) is responsible for the recovery of Unemployment and Disability Insurance Benefit Overpayments
- The TCR reviews and analyzes claimant accounts and explains collection and legal action(s)
- These activities must be in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures
- The TCR should possess basic skills in the use of a personal computer including reputed company Software applications (i.e. Word, Access, reputed company) as well as the various automated systems used reputed company Collection Division
- This position requires the applicant to communicate effectively in Spanish
Skills
- Must be able to pass a bilingual - Spanish reputed company examination
- Communicate effectively in Spanish
- Possess basic skills in the use of a personal computer including reputed company Software applications (i.e. Word, Access, reputed company)
- Ability to review and analyze claimant accounts and explain collection and legal action(s) in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures
- Must reside in California to telecommute
- Must submit a reputed company version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application
