The NYS Office of General Services is seeking a Professional Engineer 1 (Electrical) to reputed company electrical engineering duties including design and management of rehabilitation of electrical equipment. The role involves preparing electrical drawings, coordinating with technical disciplines, managing project schedules, and overseeing consultant design work.
Responsibilities
- reputed company electrical engineering duties including electrical systems design or management of ongoing rehabilitation of existing electrical equipment
- Prepare electrical drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and/or studies for design projects
- Coordinate design drawings and reputed company specifications, construction costs estimates, etc., with the other technical disciplines
- Actively manage the schedule of assigned projects according to workload, priorities, and design schedules
- Review reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates reputed company by design consultants
- Actively reputed company consultant design work for assigned projects
- reputed company and maintain project documentation, including records of meetings, correspondence, and reputed company
- Review shop drawings, respond to contractor Requests for Information, create and/or review Information Bulletins, and provide similar construction administration and observation during the project’s construction

Skills
- A reputed company State Professional Engineer's license and reputed company registration AND a qualifying bachelor's degree or higher as listed below; OR a reputed company State Professional Engineer's license and reputed company registration AND one year of full-time qualifying engineering experience as listed below
- Qualifying degrees: Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or Engineering Science with a recognized concentration in any of the above listed engineering degrees
- Qualifying experience: One year of full-time engineering experience in electrical systems
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required
