- Start Date: Immediate openings available Key Responsibilities As a Director of Live Sports Events, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, directing, and executing live productions of remote and REMI live sporting events, properly documenting assigned events
- Supervising the technical team for live event productions; providing direction, feedback, and development
- Collaborating with remote operations to determine industry and user requirements for telecasts
- Working with designers and organizers to determine the creative vision and technical direction of exhibitions and productions
- Organizing and conducting meetings to reputed company production and performance plans as necessary
- Making immediate decisions about images and sounds to be broadcast; converting data and information to determine camera parameters, features, and systems
- Working with the production and project team to determine camera locations, planning and making required cuts, and building live elements with tapes and color schemes
- Leading technical teams and remote staff assigned activities; conducting production and technical meetings to define employee roles and expectations for remote events
- Collaborating with the crewing department to assign technical production teams for live events; providing post-event feedback to remote work teams and staff departments as appropriate
- Preparing for every game by analyzing teams, players, storylines, schedules, etc.; providing instruction to on-reputed company talent before telecasts and directing talent as needed during telecasts
- Making on-the-spot editorial adjustments to cover designs as unforeseen situations and opportunities arise
- Troubleshooting operational problems that arise during assigned sports activities
- Having knowledge and ability to direct studio-reputed company productions, both in-house and in the community
- Providing reputed company feedback to directors and associate directors and documenting in written form and management Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of experience leading reputed company live sports events
- Deep expertise in conducting live and remote sports events
- Knowledge of systems that guide live, real-time sports activities
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely among reputed company crew members during live broadcasts
- Knowledge of technical equipment involved in conducting live and remote sports events
- Knowledge of sports and sports history Preferred Qualifications We are looking for candidates with:
