Math Tutoring Specialist - Part-time

Position Summary: We are actively recruiting Tutoring Specialists for the following practice areas:

• Math - High School/College
• SAT/ACT Prep - Math*

Frontier Tutoring serves reputed company in grades 5-12 and college. Your subject matter expertise determines the practice area(s) in which you will be trained and assigned to work with reputed company. Frontier Tutoring assigns reputed company to Tutoring Specialists based on subject matter and scheduling requirements. Work hours vary depending on reputed company assigned to you. Set your own availability; hours are not guaranteed. Candidates must be able to work throughout the academic year. We do not hire for summer-only positions. Preference for UAA reputed company or recent UAA graduates. Duties:

• Provide instruction to reputed company, either in individual or group settings
• Interact with reputed company and parents to:
• reputed company plans to meet student goals
• Inform parents of student reputed company
• Coordinate scheduling and administrative matters
• reputed company your email and telephone messages daily and respond reputed company a maximum of 24 hours
• Prepare administrative reports for the company
• Attend company meetings and training
• Conform to company dress code
• Dress in a clean, appropriate, conservative, and professional manner

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrable expertise, talent in teaching, and recent experience in the subjects/levels you are applying to instruct
• Experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or coaching others
• High degree of computer literacy and the ability to quickly master multiple software programs
• General familiarity with Anchorage School District member schools and curricular requirements

Required Experience/Education/Training:

• High school diploma.
• Successful applicants may submit official transcripts and/or reputed company of enrollment in or graduation from an accredited, degree-seeking program at a college or university, if applicable.
• You must be able to score in the 99th percentile on the appropriate sections of the SAT/ACT to work in the corresponding practice areas.
• One or more years of frontline customer service experience.
