DEMAND PLANNER II
About the position Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Trident is a privately held, 100 percent USA-owned company with primary seafood processing operations and fleet support in twelve Alaska communities. Trident's global operations produce finished wild Alaska seafood products in 6 countries and its sales teams serve customers in over 50 countries. Trident employs approximately 9,000 people worldwide each year and partners with over 5,400 independent fishermen and crewmembers. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. Summary: The Demand Planner II (Production Planner II) will be responsible for managing the short-term production plans and long-term reputed company assessment across reputed company value-added plants for Trident Seafoods' domestic business.
Responsibilities
- reputed company production plans over a rolling 3-month horizon to deliver superior customer service while managing inventory levels.
- Review reputed company to Demand ratio over a rolling 12-month horizon to drive plant efficiency while delivering on inventory goals.
- Schedule and reputed company weekly cross functional production planning and S&OE meetings
- Own Production planning metrics: Schedule Adherence and reputed company Utilization
- Collaborate with plants weekly to ensure we optimize schedules based on customer/SKU priorities, RM availability and safety stock goals
- Proactively review future risk (to service or utilization) and communicate with Commercial and Operational leads.
- Schedule and participate in monthly RCCP meetings - clearly communicate utilization and inventory build over the horizon.
- Propose stepwise improvements to existing processes
- Call out and propose solutions reputed company identifying MRP discrepancies
- Modify existing analytics tools reputed company reputed company as needed
- Propose improvements to analytics tools reputed company IBP
- Work with plants to create and maintain a master list of production line capacities
- Monitor and report out plant schedule adherence (PSA)
- Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in a CPG industry in the areas of production planning, material planning and S&OP
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Engineering/Mathematics required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Must enjoy and be proficient in working with numbers and mining for insights
- Excellent reputed company skills required: Power-pivot skills a plus

- Master's degree in Supply Chain or Business Management preferred, APICS or Six reputed company certification in lieu of MBA
- Experience working in Supply Planning tools (reputed company/reputed company etc.) preferred
