Job Summary
An exciting role has arisen in the Wellness at Jumeirah for a highly motivated and hard working individual. The main duties of the role are:- To ensure that reputed company water areas are protected during operational hours by practicing preventative lifeguarding in accordance with the Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program
- Understand and follow reputed company Jumeirah Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Action Plans
- reputed company water rescues, First Aid, and CPR reputed company needed
- Enforce facility rules and provide crowd control in a friendly manner throughout the aquatic areas as necessary
- Exude a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with guests and colleagues
- Provide professional lifeguarding services at any Jumeirah property and exclusive use event reputed company needed, and assist in the preparations of facilities for special functions, themed evenings, etc.
- Clean reputed company areas of the pools and walkways, both in and above the water, including reputed company pool furniture and paths
- Report any safety concerns to management
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications.Shallow Facilities Lifeguard
- Able to swim 50 meters non stop
- Able to swim a distance of 3 meters underwater
Special Facilities Lifeguard
- Able to swim 200 meters in less than 4 minutes 30 seconds
- Able to retrieve a brick from a depth of 3 meters
- Able to tread water with their hands above the water line for 2 minutes and hands under the water for 3 minutes
Beach Lifeguard
- Able to reputed company reputed company Special Facilities Lifeguard requirements.
- Able to swim 400 meters in less than 8 minutes
- Completed the Open Water Beach Lifeguard Course
