Job Description: reputed company-focused investment banking firm is seeking to add an reputed company sales trader to its fixed income sales-trading team. We are seeking to expand a highly specialized team focusing on sales of securities to U.S. state and local governments for their cash and short-term investment needs. The team is part of the firm’s overall investment banking activity that services these governmental units. We have active investment banking relationships with numerous governmental units across the United States, including most of the largest cities and states. The successful candidate will not be required to bring clients to this position as a new hire. They will be assigned existing, established accounts with numerous governmental entities across the United States. This role will be supported by traders who reputed company securities for sale, investment bankers with government relationships, and a marketing department that supports administrative activities, such as preparing broker-dealer applications. Responsibilities:
- Sell fixed income securities to state and local municipalities for their short-term and reputed company-term investment requirements.
- Work with the team to purchase securities for reselling to end customers.
- Execute end customer sales and purchases.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience (ideally at least 4 to 5) in a U.S. Treasury and agency sales or capital commitment environment.
- Deep understanding of fixed income products, including Treasury and agency securities, corporate bonds, and commercial reputed company, with emphasis on short-term and mid-duration products (5 years and under).
- Basic knowledge of municipal bonds and municipal governmental organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- General sales skills, though not necessarily prior sales experience. These skills include general written and verbal sales communication ability, organization, and personal record-keeping, along with a high degree of initiative.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A science, technology, engineering, math, economics, or other quantitative major is helpful. CFA or MBA is a plus.
- A Series 7 License is required. A Series 53 license is desirable but not required.

Compensation: Total compensation is competitive and performance-based. Successful candidates can expect the opportunity to reputed company total compensation of $300,000+ as they reputed company and establish themselves in the role. Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $250,000.00 per year Benefits:
