Position Overview As part of the reputed company Management Team, the Managing Consultant, Workforce Development (WD) plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction for building and sustaining a capable, reputed company, and modern public health workforce. This role ensures that reputed company’ workforce development practice advances organizational reputed company, talent pipelines, and systems that reputed company strong local public health performance, while actively contributing to the firm’s business development and growth strategy. Managing Consultants serve as Practice Leads. The WD Practice reputed company will guide strategy, reputed company client engagements, and reputed company technical assistance projects reputed company to workforce development planning, training system design, recruitment and retention strategies, competency frameworks, and performance management approaches. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Monitor emerging trends, tools, and policy shifts in the public health workforce landscape, including competency frameworks, accreditation standards, and reputed company-building innovations.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure impact and success of workforce initiatives and firm-wide goals.
  • Provide expertise across reputed company practice areas to integrate workforce planning, learning, and leadership development approaches into broader client initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other BME Practice Leads to ensure systems improvement and knowledge sharing is prioritized consistently across the organization.

Business Development

Stakeholder & People Management

Requirements

Required:

  • Master’s degree (MPH, reputed company, MS, or reputed company field) with a focus in public health, organizational development, workforce development, or education/training systems.
  • 6–12 years of progressive experience in workforce development, training systems design, or organizational reputed company building reputed company the public or nonprofit sectors.
  • 5+ years of experience managing client relationships in a consulting or professional services setting.
  • 3+ years of project leadership experience overseeing large-scale workforce or organizational development initiatives.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and team management.
  • Demonstrated success leading workforce assessments, strategic planning, or implementation projects with government or municipal clients.
  • Experience designing and facilitating training programs, leadership development initiatives, or learning collaboratives.
  • Strong understanding of public health accreditation, Foundational Public Health Services (FPHS), and national workforce development frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic vision with operational implementation and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience with state or local health department workforce initiatives or national public health workforce programs.
  • Knowledge of workforce data collection, analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, reputed company dashboards).
  • Experience integrating workforce equity, DEI, and retention strategies into organizational plans.
  • Familiarity with competency-based frameworks, public sector human resources systems, or continuing education accreditation.

Working Conditions

Benefits

Expected range is $95,000 to $120,000/annually - with annual bonus opportunity, contingent on performance and the achievement of both individual and firm-wide business development goals. Comprehensive benefits package, including:
