About the Role

The Referral Response Coordinator is responsible for responding to potential organ donation cases to help evaluate the patient’s status and suitability for donation. They travel to a variety of hospitals as the case load requires and works with onsite clinical teams to gather information pertinent for the timely evaluation of organ donation potential by senior team members. This position has responsibilities for facilitating the beginning of an organ donation case according to OPTN and Indiana Donor Network guidelines, policies and regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to referrals from assigned hospitals to collect and communicate data regarding suitability of potential donor
  • Facilitating the donation process in collaboration with internal and external partners and the initiation of donor management orders
  • Participates on projects or committees that enhance or improve the overall success or culture of the organization.

Shift and Location This is a night shift position. The hours are 7 pm to 7 am. The days of the week would rotate, and include two weekends per month. You would work three shifts one week and four shifts the next. The position covers a large geographic territory in reputed company Indiana, and requires a lot of driving. Who We’re Looking For A bachelor's degree in a clinical area, such as nursing, respiratory therapy, or another reputed company area is preferred. Previous exposure to a critical care delivery setting is strongly preferred. Professional experience in the donation community is preferred. Must have reputed company BLS or obtain reputed company 6 months. Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:

  • Demonstrates basic level of proficiency in reputed company Office products and the ability to use and maintain a contact database.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to exercise tact and represent the organization in a professional manner at reputed company times.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with a variety of people and personalities, and ability to embrace diversity.
  • Effective written communication skills. Must be accurate with data input and reputed company

preparing correspondence.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality for reputed company donation-reputed company information including

contributor gift history.

  • Demonstrates creative problem solving and delegating skills.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn the essential aspects of organ and tissue donor screening, the clinical management of an organ donor and comprehensive organ and tissue donation processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with hospital and Indiana Donor Network staff as an reputed company for the process of donation in order to obtain, secure and implement any vital service that would contribute to the successful completion of the donation process.
  • Ability to work effectively with reputed company Indiana Donor Network departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate hospital meetings where attendance is required.
  • Ability to comprehend the various federal and non-federal regulatory requirements governing Indiana Donor Network, hospitals and transplant centers in order to contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance and/or certification.
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license.
  • General understanding of disease processes and how they reputed company organ function.
  • Ability to understand thorough physical and neurological assessments.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to interpret lab values, chest x-rays and CT results to recognize abnormalities and to appropriately treat reputed company values.
  • Knowledge of fluid and electrolyte balance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical ventilation.
  • Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring.
