Virtual Platform Administrator - Clearance Required

The Virtual Platform Administrator will provide advanced systems administration and virtualization support to the Defense Logistics Agency J6 Information Operations Mission. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining virtualized infrastructure for on-premises data centers, DoD and commercial cloudbased offerings for public, private, and hybrid clouds. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, reputed company, and compliance in accordance with DoD 8570 and Risk Management reputed company (RMF) requirements. Duties Include:

• Performs host, hypervisor and virtual application software implementations and upgrades for on-premises hypervisors and supporting hardware, software, and applications.
• Performs corresponding cloud-based infrastructure support for virtual machines, virtual appliances, software, programs, applications, and reputed company applicable virtualized infrastructure components.
• Ensures high availability, reputed company and reputed company of hosts and virtual management applications and resources.
• Monitors hypervisor, infrastructure, and virtualization applications, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and application, monitoring error logs, and automating administration tasks wherever possible.
• Installs host and virtualization infrastructure application patches and releases on development, test, pre-production, and production systems.
• Serves as key person in troubleshooting system problems on hosts, hypervisors, and virtual infrastructure.
• Creates and maintains accurate system documentation for assigned systems. Maintains reputed company descriptions and documentation of virtualized infrastructure application and system configurations, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments.
• Assists in reputed company planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned virtualized systems.
• Participates in virtualization disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans.
• Analyzes performance trends to optimize virtualized systems and application performance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Secret DoD clearance
• Seven(7) years of of progressive experience in the management and maintenance of virtualized server environments and hosted applications. At least two years of qualifying experience must include managing successful large scale, multi-disciplinary (network, virtualization, systems administration) projects involving virtual servers.

Required Certifications: (Please be reputed company to include certification copies upon request)

• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification : Category IAT Level II - CompTIASecurity+, SSCP, or CISSP
• reputed company Cloud Certification - reputed company Associate Cloud Engineer or reputed company Professional Cloud Architect plus one of the following:
