Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract VocoVision recruits qualified special education professionals for remote teaching positions throughout the United States. We work with schools seeking experienced teachers who can effectively deliver specialized instruction in virtual environments, ensuring students with disabilities receive appropriate educational services regardless of location. Remote special education opportunities in New Hampshire offer qualified teachers the chance to work from home while supporting students with individualized learning needs. These positions utilize established virtual learning platforms designed specifically for special education service delivery, enabling you to provide high-quality instruction while maintaining work-life balance. Position Snapshot Virtual special education teachers in these roles typically commit to 36-40 hours per week, managing student caseloads ranging from 40-50 individuals across varied grade levels with concentration in elementary and middle school populations. The remote format allows geographical flexibility while maintaining structured schedules aligned with school calendars and student instructional needs. Students requiring special education services represent diverse disability categories and ability levels. Your caseload will likely include students with specific learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities. Instruction must be individualized to address each student's IEP goals while promoting academic growth and functional skill development. Primary Teaching Functions Implementing individualized education programs drives your daily work. You'll design lessons addressing IEP goals, deliver instruction through live video sessions utilizing screen sharing and digital whiteboards, provide accommodations and modifications as specified in IEPs, and document student responses to interventions. Creative approaches help translate hands-on learning experiences into engaging virtual formats. Ongoing assessment informs instructional planning and demonstrates student progress. You'll administer formal assessments as required by IEPs, conduct informal checks for understanding during lessons, review completed work for accuracy and effort, and compile quarterly progress reports. Data analysis guides decisions about continuing, modifying, or intensifying interventions. Successful virtual special education requires active collaboration. You'll participate in multidisciplinary team meetings conducted remotely, consult with general education teachers about implementing accommodations, communicate regularly with families about student progress and concerns, and coordinate with related service providers to ensure comprehensive support. Building collaborative relationships despite physical separation requires excellent communication and follow-through. Technology management is integral to virtual teaching effectiveness. You'll become proficient with your school's learning management system, troubleshoot common technical problems students encounter, maintain digital records complying with confidentiality requirements, and utilize various educational software programs to enhance instruction and engagement. Candidate Qualifications New Hampshire special education teacher licensure is required and must remain current throughout employment. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline. A minimum of two years' experience teaching in K-12 school settings is necessary, with preference given to candidates demonstrating virtual teaching background. Remote work requires specific technical capabilities and infrastructure. Your home must have reliable high-speed internet service capable of supporting video conferencing, a computer meeting system requirements with functioning webcam and audio, and a dedicated workspace allowing private conversations and professional video presence. Comfort with educational technology and willingness to learn new platforms quickly are essential.
